Terms of use

Clartiv is a marketplace that connects home cooks and buyers who live near each other. We do not cook, package, or handle food. We hold payment in escrow and release it when the cook confirms a handover.

You agree to only place orders you intend to collect, to arrive at the pickup slot the cook has published, and to treat the cook's home as you would treat a neighbour's home.

Cooks agree to only list dishes they can actually deliver at the promised time, to hold to any allergen and ingredient claims they make, and to keep the kitchen at or above the compliance level their listing has been approved for.

If either side no-shows or misrepresents, we refund the buyer, decline the payout to the cook, and a Clartiv operator reads every dispute in person. We do not use bots for support.

We may suspend an account without notice if we believe someone is at risk of harm, whether from allergens, from misrepresentation, or from behaviour that violates these terms.
